Today in art, we shared facts and talked about how we can help save our Polar Bears. How lucky are we to be able to use our creativity to bring attention to an animal we are in danger of losing. In the background we mixed blues, purple, and white to create the cold icy habitat for our Polar Bear. On separate paper, we drew and cut out our polar bears, gluing them to our background. Next, we added charcoal to create a shadow and give our animals form. We finished our paintings by adding snow. I wasn’t even tired of seeing snow on these. My 2nd Graders make me so proud.
