The Colors of our Ox

Our students brought the color and excitement to Art Room this week. Our Ox is surely feeling the love.

Our Monday and Tuesday classes worked hard this week prepping our ox with a clean coat of gesso. This insured that our surface was smooth, clean, and ready for our pretty paints. On Wednesday we got to work adding color.

Grades K-3 are my patchwork painters. They have done a beautiful job covering many of the squares on our Ox. While our younger students have been working on the bright large areas of color, our 4th and 5th graders have been busy adding all the details. Images of TASK, Pennington Day, and bucket filling are just a few of the images our students have been busy working on. Stay tuned for more photos!

Here are a few of my favorite things…

1. Matisse Brand Acrylics are my new favorite paints.                                                            2. Frog Tape is an Artists/Art Teachers best friend.                                                                                   3. Jerry’s Artarama is the best place in the area for fine art supplies! What a cool place. I can’t wait to go back.
